Carols in the Woods

holy

The voice that breathed o'er Eden, was not so sweet as these,
The voices of the children, as they sing beneath the trees,
Their dear, angelic faces lend enchantment to the scene,
As they come a’ wassailing among the leaves so green.

They sing about a little Child, who came to us as a stranger,
Tightly wrapped in swaddling bands, and cradled in a manger.
They sing of shepherds, watching sheep, and of lowly ox and ass,
And dream of Christmas stockings, and hope it comes to pass.

The woods are decked with holly, and the children sing out clear,
"We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year."
So come and join our Carols, and be our honored guest,
If you come as little children, then you truly will be blessed.
